EXCLUSIVE: Dexter: Original Sin ended on a high note over the weekend, measuring a finale audience that grew 27% over the December premiere.
The finale tallied 2.68M global viewers on Paramount+ with Showtime, according to Paramount Global. This includes the three-day streaming audience that tuned in once the episode became available on Friday, as well as any same-day viewers that watched when the episode aired on the linear network Sunday night.
It was the most-streamed episode of the season, Paramount Global says, up 30% from the premiere’s streaming audience. The company did not provide streaming-specific numbers, but the claim is supported by the 27% increase in total viewers over the weekend.
Paramount Global is touting this as Showtime‘s most-streamed series in 10 years. It’s worth noting that Showtime began to develop its online presence around 2015, and there has been an overall audience shift to streaming in recent years, so that stat is somewhat of a natural conclusion.
