A developer has requested that wording concerning the conditions around planning permission for a project in Motherwell be clarified in order to remove any confusion over the use of commercial units to be built at the site.

New Brannock Limited has contacted North Lanarkshire Council concerning its planned neighbourhood centre in Torrance Park, which received planning approval in late 2021.

The company has requested that “for the avoidance of doubt” a condition attached to that earlier approval specify that the eight commercial units included in the development may only be used by shops and services and businesses involved in food and drink. The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
