Paula Radcliffe is best known as one of Britain's most successful sportspeople, having won several races across the world and previously being a world record holder.
However, she opted to leave the UK shortly after competing in the 2004 Olympics in Athens. Paula, 50, relocated to Monaco with her husband Gary Lough.The couple now live in Monte Carlo with their two children, Isla and Raphael.
The athlete's decision to leave Britain behind came about after the 2004 Olympics, where she was the favourite to win a gold medal in the marathon.
However, Paula suffered an injury to her leg two weeks before the event, resulting in her having to use a high dosage of anti-inflammatory drugs.This had an effect on her stomach, and as a result, she withdrew from the race after 22 miles.
