A devastated grandmother has been left “high and dry” after the long-established company she paid £15,000 to for a dream kitchen went bust.Widow Caroline McVicar bought a house in the Forgewood area of Motherwell in December last year after returning to Lanarkshire following decades living abroad.Kitchen fitters from DM Design in Cumbernauld were supposed to turn up and install the pensioner's beautiful new kitchen on Monday but no one arrived.The 72-year-old, who is originally from Hamilton, was left stuck with a “shell” of a kitchen just months after moving home to Scotland from Spain, where she had emigrated with her late husband.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
