Detectives investigating alleged murder in Moss Side arrest 18-year-old
manchestereveningnews.co.ukDetectives investigating the alleged murder of a man in Moss Side have arrested a teenager. The M.E.N. previously told how Javell Morgan, 20, was found with serious injuries following an incident on Claremont Road at about 12.15am on Monday, August 15.
He died a short time later. Greater Manchester Police said officers have now arrested an 18-year-old man in Huddersfield. He is in police custody and is due to be questioned on suspicion of attempted murder and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life, the force said.
Four men have previously been charged with his murder. READ MORE: Dad of boy, 16, killed in police chase wants to find out 'what really happened' Jacob Doughty, 21, of Ponyfield Close, Huddersfield, and Simeon Baptiste, 24, of Wellfield Bank, Huddersfield, Darius Blackburn, 20, and Deontay Crosfield, 22, also both from Huddersfield, appeared at Manchester Crown Court earlier this week.
A trial was set for February next year. Detective Inspector Louise Edwards, of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: "Our thoughts remain with Javell’s loved ones at this heart-breaking time.
