A mum-of-three says her kids are being forced to live in a dump due to the increasing amount of rubbish being thrown in a car park right next to their home.

Kara White, 32, from Nechells, Birmingham, fears the piles of filth in the shared car park behind her home will soon lead to a rat infestation if someone doesn't intervene to stop the fly-tipping.

Shopping trolleys, a washing machine, and heaps of bricks are just some of the litter that lies behind homes on Lichfield Road, Birmingham Live reports.

Ms White said she tried to get Birmingham Council to remove the rubbish, but the council replied saying the land had been sold to a private landowner so they couldn't take care of it.
