Dan Walker has taken to Twitter to fire back at anti-monarchists, saying that King Charles, III, Prince Harry and William deserve to be "cut a little slack" following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
It comes as numerous members of the royal family have faced backlash, including Harry and his wife Meghan Markle for holding hands in Westminster Hall yesterday and King Charles III for appearing to lose his temper at a leaking pen.In view of his 774,200 followers, the former BBC Breakfast host took aim at anti-royalists ahead of the state funeral on Monday.Dan wrote: "Whatever your politics or stance on the monarchy can we just agree that when your mother or grandmother dies and you have to live almost every moment of your life under an intense microscope… you deserve to be cut a little slack?"However, not all of Dan's Twitter followers agreed with his post and took to the comments to say so.Twitter user @honest_gardener wrote: "Nope.
