Derry Girls follows teens growing up in Londonderry in the 1990s and was a sleeper hit that built a large and committed following.
Set during the Troubles, the show was praised for offering a new perspective on the period of the IRA and loyalist ceasefires through the eyes of a group of young girls.
Sister Michael is a nun and the eye-rolling headmistress at Our Lady Immaculate College in Derry, Northern Ireland, and she was a fan favourite thanks to her sarcasm and witty comments, particularly towards her job.
