His wife Gwen announced the news on Derek's official Twitter page, adding: "Farewell my love! I will miss you forever!" Since Derek's death, devoted Gwen has kept his social media up to date with musings and pictures of her late husband.
She has changed the profile picture to a snap of Derek dressed in a smart white shirt and switched up the banner to an image of a sky with the caption 'Guarded by ANGELS." Today she share a snap of Derek enjoying a cup of tea and wrote: "Good morning!
