dailyrecord.co.ukdepraved rapist who fled the country and proceeded to try and destroy evidence has been arrested in Hungary. Days before his court trial was due to begin, 33-year-old Saqib Salam fled the country while on bail for the sexual offences which occurred at a property on July 15, 2018.
A trial was held while he was gone and he was convicted of two counts of rape at an address in Bradford as well as perverting the course of justice, an offence which related to the attempted deletion of crucial CCTV footage.Yorkshire Live reports that police officers used specialised software to recover the footage which showcased Salam using force to push his victim into a room where he then raped her.
