Katie Couric is looking back at an awkward moment she shared with Denzel Washington. The famed journalist recently appeared on the "Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino" podcast, where she recounted interviewing Washington about his film "The Manchurian Candidate" in 2004.
In the "Dateline" interview, Couric, 63, asked Washington, 65, whether "Hollywood folks should stick to acting." “I don’t know what Hollywood folks are, first of all,” Washington said at the time. “Hollywood is a town that has some stars on the sidewalk.
I don’t know anybody from there. So, I don’t -- that’s like saying -- calling you a ‘type’ of folks. I’m not a Hollywood folk.
