Denise Welch to return to huge fan favourite TV role for first time in 15 years

Denise Welch is headed back to the classroom! The 66 year old panelist from Loose Women will be reprising her role as French teacher on the popular show Waterloo Road Comprehensive School.

Fans remember her fondly as Steph Haydock, a character she portrayed from 2006 to 2010. Although the show concluded with its 10th season in 2015, it made a comeback in 2023 and is gearing up for its 15th season after the thrilling climax of 2024's episodes.

Denise, a familiar face who featured in the first six seasons of the drama's initial stint, isn't just known for her work on Waterloo Road; she also made waves as Natalie Barnes in Coronation Street between 1997 and 2000.

Known for juggling acting with her daytime TV career, Denise is excited for her return to the hit series.
