Denise Welch claims she was 'manipulated into Celeb Big Brother' and was 'miserable'

Loose Women star Denise Welch claimed on Friday's show that she felt "manipulated" into taking part on Celebrity Big Brother in 2012.

Though Denise won the series, she said it was a "desperately miserable" and "destructive" time in her life, and she said she regretted it.

The Hollyoaks star was discussing life regrets with her fellow panelists Nadia Sawahla, Stacey Solomon and Linda Robson. "I sometimes think maybe I am mixing up regret with shame, and guilt, because obviously my drinking and everything in my life was in free fall, and so much was out of my control, I have a lot of shame associated with that time," Denise began. "Do I regret not finding the strength, if it is strength, to give up drinking earlier?
