Demi Moore has joined the cast of the long-awaited season two of the Ryan Murphy FX anthology series Feud, which is five years in the making.According to Variety, the new eight-episode season will follow the true story of how famed novelist and screenwriter Truman Capote was friends with many members of New York's high society until he published excerpts of his unfinished novel Answered Prayers, that included tell-all details about the city’s elite.Moore, 59, will star as socialite Ann Woodward, a former showgirl and radio actress who was infamously accused of murdering her husband in 1955.

New role: Demi Moore, 59, joined the season two cast of Feud , subtitled - Capote's Women As previously announced, Moore joins a cast for season two, subtitled Capote's Women, alongside the likes of Tom Hollander, who plays Capote, Diane Lane, Calista Flockhart, Naomi Watts and Chloë Sevigny.Famed filmmaker Gus Van Sant is onboard to direct all entire eight episodes.

He's made his mark in both independent and mainstream movies with a resume that includes Drugstore Cowboy (1989), My Own Private Idaho (1991), To Die For (1995), Good Will Hunting (1997) and Milk (2008), among others.

Jon Robin Baitz will write the new season and serve as showrunner.Along with her starring role, Watts will also serve as an executive producer along with with Murphy via Ryan Murphy Productions, Dede Gardner of Plan B, Tim Minear, and Alexis Martin Woodall.
