Dean Henderson’s dream Bramall Lane return descended into a nightmare just minutes into Manchester United ’s clash with Sheffield United.
The former Blades loanee was handed a shock start by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer against the side he spent the last two seasons with.
Solskjaer opted to drop David De Gea to the bench, with United preparing for the hectic festive fixture schedule. The United boss admitted that he had long planned for Henderson to start the game, his third Premier League appearance of the season. "It’s one I had pencilled in for him early on," he said. "I feel Dean is ready as well now to take these games on because he’s played well when he’s played.
