David Robert Joseph Beckham OBE (born 2 May 1975) is an English former professional footballer, the current president of Inter Miami CF and co-owner of Salford City. He played for Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, Milan, LA Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain and the England national team, for which he held the appearance record for an outfield player until 2016. He is the first English player to win league titles in four countries: England, Spain, the United States and France. He retired in May 2013 after a 20-year career, during which he won 19 major trophies.

David Beckham's Inter Miami are looking to bring out of favour Sergio Romero to the MLS. The back-up Manchester United goalkeeper is desperate to secure a move away from Old Trafford.

He is one of four goalkeepers at the club but has David de Gea, Dean Henderson and Lee Grant all ahead of him in the pecking order.

Inter Miami are ready to offer him a route out of the Premier League club in January, reports the Athletic. Beckham is hoping to use his United connections to begin adding big names to his American outfit.

Romero has been frozen out at Manchester having been omitted from the club's Premier League and Champions League squads. The MLS season begins in March, but the 33-year-old's £100,000-a-week wages would prove challenging for
