Jaden Thompson Rob Liefeld, creator of the comic book character “Deadpool,” has debuted a proof of concept trailer for a film called “Bloodstrike,” directed by stunt coordinator Philip J.

Silvera. In a detailed Instagram caption, Liefeld revealed the vision for his new project and how the trailer came to be. He began by relaying the difficulties involved in bringing a movie to the big screen. “When taking a comic book from page to screen there are always hurdles, screenplay, screenwriters, talent that attach and move on.

It gets old really fast,” he wrote. Liefeld and Silvera, who worked on “Deadpool” and other Marvel films, shared an artistic synergy. “I have waited to connect with a director with the same zeal for the material, someone who can nurture it to the finish line, be a true partner in the process,” Liefeld wrote. “I met Phil Silvera on the first Deadpool film.

He had just completed his work on Daredevil seasons 1 & 2, the architect of those great hallway battles. He was stunt coordinator as well as second unit director on Deadpool and he expressed his immediate and overwhelming knowledge of all things comic books to me.” Liefeld has co-created the character Deadpool with Fabian Nicieza (brought to life on screen by Ryan Reynolds), as well as the character Cable alongside Louise Simonson.
