West Ham boss David Moyes has opened up on how he was monitoring Edinson Cavani "closely" during his tenure at Manchester United.
Cavani had long been linked with a move to Old Trafford before he joined Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side last summer. The Uruguayan has been one of the most prolific forwards in Europe over the last decade and burst onto the scene by scoring 104 goals during three seasons with Napoli.
Cavani's performances in Serie A caught the attention of a number of clubs - and Moyes confirmed he held talks with the player's representatives after he succeeded Sir Alex Ferguson as United boss in 2013.
