David Gray insists the greater good of Hibs and not personal glory will be driving his bid to dump Celtic and lift the League Cup at Hampden.
The former Easter Road skipper and 2016 Scottish Cup Final goal hero will take temporary charge for the last time this afternoon.Shaun Maloney is then expected to conclude talks and take the reins on a permanent basis on Monday.
But after filling in on the back of the dismissal of Jack Ross, Gray is adamant he hasn’t given his own position a second thought as he prepares to guide Hibs to some more Mount Florida magic.
He said: “It is a difficult situation because of what has happened. It is never nice when two people lose their job especially having been so close to them and I remain close to them.
