David Gilmour announces London Royal Albert Hall residency as first live shows in eight years

David Gilmour has announced a residency at the Royal Albert Hall in London, marking his first live shows in eight years. Find all the details below.The soloist and former Pink Floyd guitarist will play six concerts at the historic venue this October in support of his fifth album ‘Luck And Strange’, which is released on September 6 via Sony.Tickets go on general sale at 10am BST next Friday (May 10) – you’ll be able to buy yours here.

Alternatively, fans can access a pre-sale on Thursday (9) by pre-ordering Gilmour’s new record here before 3pm BST on Wednesday (8).The musician last played live publicly as a solo artist in 2016, when he embarked on a similar residency at the Royal Albert Hall.
