David Bowie’s former guitarist Matthew Seligman has died at the age of 64 after battling coronavirus. The star was best known for his work with musicians including the Thompson Twins, Thomas Dolby and Bowie.
Thomas, who has been sharing updates on his friend and bandmate’s condition, shared the sad news with a post reading: ‘Matthew’s gone. [TMDR].’ He had previously told fans that Matthew had suffered from a ‘catastrophic hemorrhagic stroke from which he won’t recover.’ Thomas added that a candlelight vigil to remember the star will be held via YouTube live on 19 April at 8pm.
He said: ‘Matthew would want us to remember the good times and have a party.’ Friends and fans have paid tribute to the star.
