David Beckham has revealed the final words former manager Sven-Goran Eriksson said to him during their final meeting during the summer. The former England captain went to visit his ex-manager in the 76-year-old's homeland, Sweden, where he was battling against pancreatic cancer. The Three Lions duo knew time was short and Sven - who led England for five years, overseeing two World Cups and reaching the quarter-finals on both occasions - told his former star man: "It will be OK".Sven also oversaw England reaching the last eight at Euro 2004 and the famous 5-1 win over rivals Germany a 2002 World Cup Qualifier in Munich in September 2001.The Mirror reports Eriksson, who also managed Manchester City, and Italian sides Roma and Fiorentina, revealed in January that he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and had been told he had "best case" a year to live. That led to an outpouring of love and support across the globe, while Eriksson was given the opportunity to manage his beloved Liverpool in a charity match at Anfield in March.Eriksson admitted he had shed tears before and after the Liverpool 'Legends' match, and said: "To sit on the bench for Liverpool, that's been my dream my whole life. "Now it happened, and it was a beautiful day in all meanings.

It's a good finish, to finish with Liverpool, it can't be much better than that." As Eriksson's condition worsened, Beckham flew to Sweden to meet Sven at his home in Sunne.Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. You'll receive daily updates on breaking news as well as the top headlines across Scotland. No one will be able to see who is signed up and no one can send messages except the Daily Record team. All you have to do is c
