Harper stepped out onto the pitch with the 36-year-old footballer ahead of the semi-final match in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Before the match kicked off, each Inter Miami player walked out holding hands with other children mascots with Harper and Messi leading the front.
David Beckham, 48 and his wife Victoria Beckham, 49, both captured the sweet moment and shared it to their separate Instagram feeds.
