David Beckham and Inter Miami ready to hijack David Silva's transfer to New York City

David Beckham is reportedly keen to try to convince Manchester City midfielder David Silva to turn down a move to New York City and join his new Inter Miami side at the end of the season instead.

The 34-year-old is nearing the end of his hugely successful 10 year spell at City and is yet to decide on his next club, but a move to the United States appears inevitable.

Silva had appeared on the brink of confirming a deal with New York, who have lost their first two games of the new MLS season.

But Beckham is reportedly attempting to change his mind and is willing to make Silva one of the best-paid players in the league, clearly believing a move would be hugely beneficial to the club.
