The launch of this year's Strictly Come Dancing has been postponed following the Queen's death. The start of the 2022 edition of the BBC One dance contest was hanging in the balance as it was due to air this coming Saturday (September 17), just two days before Queen Elizabeth II's funeral.

Thousands of people will flood the streets on Tuesday as Queen Elizabeth II ’s coffin makes its final journey to London ahead of her funeral on Monday. King Charles III was said to look “absolutely devastated” by royal fans online during the Vigil of the Princes held at St Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh.Charles was joined by his siblings Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward as they took part in the historic ceremony as the public watched on. The four children of Queen Elizabeth II stood guard each on their own side of her coffin, while they were flanked by archers in ceremonial dress.
