But it wasn't the first time as Dave performed the same exact track last year with the 15-time Grammy-winning rock band - including the late Taylor Hawkins - at Manhattan's Madison Square Garden.
The six-hour concert honoring the drummer - who overdosed, age 50, on March 25 - included his 16-year-old son Shane, who performed with Foo Fighters on Hero and I'll Stick Around.The 'revolving door of rock heroes' also featured Joan Jett, Travis Barker, Kesha, Miley Cyrus, Def Leppard, Pink, Heart, Queen, Chad Smith, Alanis Morissette, Jack Black, Rush, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Soundgarden, Metallica, and Black Sabbath.
