Dashcam footage has captured the terrifying moment a lorry was blown over in strong winds on the M62 on Tuesday night (April 11).
The footage caught the moment the HGV, that was travelling in the left lane near Rochdale, tipped over and crashed onto the ground, sliding across all three lanes before hitting the central reservation at around 7.17pm.
A spokesperson for National Highways said the vehicle was blown over in strong winds - as 40mph gusts hit our region. One 'minor injury' was reported. They wrote: "Lanes 2 and 3 of (3) are closed on the #M62 westbound between J22 (#Huddersfield) and J21 (#Rochdale) due to a collision involving an overturned HGV. #TrafficOfficers are on scene, with recovery agents and contractors en route.
