‘Dark Matter’ Renewed For Season 2 At Apple TV+
deadline.comApple TV+ viewers might get the chance to finally find out how Dark Matter’s interdimensional travel works and which universe the main characters ended up in after the streamer renewed the sci-fi drama for a second season.
The tech company has handed Dark Matter, which stars Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly, a sophomore season after its nine-episode, first season ended in June.
However, Blake Crouch, author of the book that the series is based on and creator, showrunner and executive producer of the series, will have to come up with new stories as there is no source material on the bookstands.
Dark Matter, which comes from Sony Pictures Television, follows Jason Dessen, (played by Edgerton), a physicist, professor and family man who, one night while walking home on the streets of Chicago, is abducted into an alternate version of his life.
