Daniel James admits he was left starstruck when he first met Juan Mata after moving to Manchester United. The Wales international completed a dream transfer to Old Trafford last summer when he became the first signing of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's reign.
After a breakthrough season with Swansea in the Championship it was a huge change of scenery for James, but he says his move to Manchester was made easier by the warm welcome of his hero Mata.
When asked to name his football idols as a child James named Mata along with three other greats. "I've got quite a few," James told Sky Sports. "I think everyone looks up to (Lionel) Messi but I think I've got to go Juan as someone I always looked up to and to play with him now is surreal for me. "(Eden)
