Audi have axed Daniel Abt from their Formula E team following his eSports imposter scandal. Abt was fined £9,000 after getting a ringer to drive for him during Formula E's charity eSports race at the weekend.
But the fine was only the start of Abt's problems and Audi have confirmed that Abt has been suspended. Mirror Sport understand that he will never drive for the team again.
Audi bosses have been left furious by his antics and the company's top brass have decided to pull the plug on his six-year stint with the team.
Abt, 27, is a two-time Formula E race winner but his recent performances and attitude has not gone down well with team chiefs.
