Dean Davidson, 38, admitted 18 sexual offences over 10 years, including possession of indecent images of children, online exploitation of young teenagers and indecently touching boys, Chronicle Live reported.

The defendant, of Brockwood Court, Ashington, Northumberland, taught in various schools in the North East of England and "posed as a good-looking blonde girl" online, according to one of his victims.

Depending on the sexuality of his victims, he used a male alter-ego, Newcastle Crown Court heard.Davidson held his head in his hands during the sentencing hearing as statements from 27 victims.
