Dangerous driver who called judge 'absolute helmet' now facing further jail time

A dangerous driver branded a judge an 'absolute helmet' and thanked him sarcastically after he was sentenced to more than a year in prison - and could now face further jail time.

Levi Cull was locked up for 14 months at Bolton Crown Court hearing yesterday (Tuesday June 7). The 25-year-old had previously pleaded guilty to a series of offences after he crashed a Mercedes in Bolton on March 21 of this year, Manchester Evening News reports.

Prosecution barrister Harriet Lavin said that Cull, of Langshaw Walk, had been spotted by police at roughly 2.30pm when he "attempted to duck his head" and made his down a side street to avoid officers.During a short chase, Cull drove 60mph on the wrong side of the road, ran a red light and drove across a busy junction without stopping.

On Gibbon Street, Cull crashed and sent the other vehicle into a parked car.The Mercedes being driven by Cull then struck a fence, another car, flipped and eventually landed on its roof.Cull, who has 10 convictions for 26 offences, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.He was defended in court by Nick Ross.
