Dancing on Ice fans have questioned why dance partners Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have been socially-distanced while sitting down at the judging panel.

Viewers rushed to Twitter to share their confusion after a video clip was shown of the pair dancing together right at the beginning of the show.The clip showed them touching each other as they held one another while dancing.The camera then panned to the dancing duo who were sat in the audience smiling and cheering while being socially-distanced and sat what seemed to be two metres away from one another.Unable to tell if it was an old clip or not, fans flocked to their social media.One tweeted: "Why are Torvill and Dean separated by plexi glass?" followed by two laughing emojis.A.
