Strictly star Dan Walker had become fond of seeing him sporting his suave suit, shoes and socks combinations on social media, and came to look forward to his regular posts, but all that could be set to change.

After questions were raised about potential conflicts of interest with his BBC work that might arise as a result of him receiving products from brands, a source has announced that he will not be undertaking promotional posts. The BBC's editorial guidelines state that "on-air talent on news, current affairs and business programmes are not permitted to take part in any promotional activity for third parties".It is believed that Dan does not have any commercial arrangements with the brands he wears on his BBC Breakfast show.He also hasn't broken any editorial guidelines with the content he has posted so far. However, questions were reportedly raised about whether showcasing his branded outfits online could clash with the strict rules that the broadcaster insists need to be followed.Disclosure rules on the likes of Instagram require users to be transparent on each social media post, meaning that the public can quickly clarify whether or not it was part of a paid promotion. However, style fan Dan has previously endorsed handcrafted shoes by Oliver Sweeney, plus suits from the luxury menswear brand Charles Tyrwhitt.Plus his love of golf and sporting activities have seen him promote PXG and sportswear brand Castore too.Even his glamorous Strictly co-star Nadia Bychkova got in on the act, when she modelled tops with the distinctive brand logo on them alongside Dan during the pair's time on the dance show together.Sources have now confirmed to The Times that Dan's intention is to stop endorsing products sent to him by brands.
