Dame Judi Dench finding lockdown ‘tough’ as grandson gives her TikTok tasks in place of learning scripts

In a bizarre turn of events, Dame Judi Dench has become everyone’s new favourite TikTok star, as she isolates amid the coronavirus lockdown – and it’s all thanks to her grandson.

Sam Williams, who also happens to be an Ed Sheeran lookalike, has racked up 50,000 followers on the platform but had fans stunned when he casually brought out his grandmother, actual Oscar-winner Judi, for one of his videos.

Chatting about how the legendary actress is coping in lockdown, Sam admitted: ‘I think due to technology, it’s pretty tough for her. ‘But she is learning FaceTime, and she knows how to call me and how to call mum.

She’s really trying and persevering, and she absolutely loves when she gets through to us on the other side because it does feel
