Dalbeattie Angling Association is set to reel in a bright future after a vital fishery was saved.The group has floundered since Buittle Reservoir was emptied and poisoned to kill American signal crayfish.But now members can fish the water for the first time in years when Scotland’s trout season officially opens on March 15.According to club secretary and chairman Will Marshall, restoring and re-stocking the fishery has already netted a membership boost.He said: “This is very probably going to save our angling association.
