Dakota Johnson Says She Tries ‘Not To Care What People Think’ As She Talks New Movie, Directing Coldplay Video

Her character’s on-screen aspirations aren’t too far from her own as the movie parallels the actress’ desire to direct — something she recently accomplished by directing Coldplay’s music video for “Cry Cry Cry”. “I think it’s sometimes difficult maybe for people to see me in a different way but also that’s kind of my job is to be a different person and I try not to care what people think,” she tells ET Canada.
Johnson, who is dating Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, had to send in a concept pitch to the band just like any other director.
