He is regarded as one of the world's biggest film stars. Depp made his film debut in the 1984 film A Nightmare on Elm Street, before rising to prominence as a teen idol on the television series 21 Jump Street (1987–1990). He had a supporting role in Oliver Stone's 1986 war film Platoon and played the title character in the 1990 romantic fantasy Edward Scissorhands.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last month and published on Wednesday, Johnson was asked about her former co-stars like Shia LaBeouf ("The Peanut Butter Falcon"), Johnny Depp ("Black Mass") and Armie Hammer ("Wounds") who've been accused of abuse.
All three actors have denied the allegations. The star said that she "never experienced" any abuse "firsthand" from her co-stars.
