Southampton will watch Daizen Maeda in the League Cup semi-final next week as they consider a transfer bid for another Celtic star, according to a report.
Maeda has been a key man for Ange Postecoglou this season despite some criticism of his finishing and decision-making and he was the only Celtic player named in the Japan squad, with Kyogo and Reo Hatate surprisingly left out.
Southampton have been partial to a Celtic raid in the past with Victor Wanyama, Virgil van Dijk and Stuart Armstrong among the success stories.
They have also expressed interest in Liel Abada in recent months, And now Football Scotland report that Maeda is on their radar and they will travel north to watch him at Hampden against Kilmarnock next weekend.
