The upcoming movie featuring Daisy‘s character Rey was previously announced back in April 2023 during that year’s Star Wars Celebration event.
Documentary filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy was set as the director of the upcoming film, tentatively titled New Jedi Order, marking her feature narrative film debut.
The movie will be set 15 years after the events that happened in the 2019 film The Rise of Skywalker. Rey will now be the mentor to new Jedis.
