A dad who is ‘slowly-dying’ has hit out after 12 doctors blamed his ill health on a bad back. Ron Carnall claims he was fobbed off for years after medics told him his symptoms were a result of degenerative discs. The 58-year-old, from Meir, Stoke-on-Trent, said special injections did nothing to take away the pain he was experiencing.
But after he began to lose sensation in his legs and discovered unusual marks on them, he returned to the doctor's surgery and begged for help. The dad-of-one claims he was only diagnosed with untreated diabetes after a district nurse treated his legs, Stoke-on-TrentLive reports.
Medical tests later revealed Ron also has a blocked aorta and he would not survive an operation or amputation. The dad-of-one said: "A few years back I had pain in my back that had been getting worse.
I went to see my doctor at Weston Coyney Medical Practice, at Meir Primary Care Centre. I had a scan and it was discovered I had degenerative discs in my back causing severe pain."I had injections in my back to see if it would help the pain, which they didn't.
