Chris Laycock, from Mottram in Tameside, has still been given a terminal diagnosis, but it’s one that he’s willing to fight. "Three months ago he was at body-building fitness and now we’re looking at bungalows," said his wife, Jo Booth.

She spoke to the Manchester Evening News on Chris’s behalf; not because he didn’t want to, but because he physically can’t. The 44-year-old is also unable to use his right arm and struggles with his right leg too, and as a result, is no longer able to drive.
