Dad slammed for trying to change son's date of birth by claiming he 'has authority'

A dad has been slammed after he "lashed out" at a nurse who didn't allow him to change his son's date of birth on the newborn's official birth certificate.

The man explained that he and his wife recently welcomed their first child, with their son being born at 11.05pm on New Year's Eve.

He says a nurse handed him a form to fill out to record their child's details and when he got to the date and time of birth, he chose to put 12.05am on January 1 instead because "one hour difference wasn't really a problem".
