released the first trailer for an upcoming comedy series in which a woman is accidentally turned into a chicken nugget. “A woman steps into an odd machine and becomes… a chicken nugget,” reads the South Korea-produced show’s synopsis on Netflix’s site. “Now, it’s up to her father and admirer to embark on a zany quest to bring her back.” The show, which is expected to hit the streaming site on March 15, stars Ryu Seung-ryong, Ahn Jae-hong and Kim You-jung.Netflix’s protein-packed comedy is directed by Lee Byeong-Heon, whose 2019 film “Extreme Job” also focused on chicken.

Based on the trailer, which in and of itself is an experience, the show will feature several crazy moments featuring both Seung-ryong, 53, and Jae-hong, 37, as they attempt to save Choi Min-ah (Kim You-jung, 24) from living the rest of her life as a piece of poultry.

The aptly named film is based on a webtoon of the same name that originally aired for 47 episodes in South Korea in September 2019 and concluded its brief run in August 2020.

Netflix users appear hungry for the quirky content.“I never knew I needed a movie about someone turning into a chicken nugget until now,” one fan commented on the YouTube page. “Can’t wait to see this in the cinemas.” “Chicken Nugget sounds like a story your friend would tell you about after a day of edibles,” a second person commented. “The fact that this premise got A-list comedians and Lee Byeong-heon directing is another reason I love cinema.”“This feels like a fever dream,” a third person commented. “Finally, a movie worth watching,” quipped a fourth.
