While in there, he made a devastating discovery, which would change the family's life. The 34-year-old from Ellesmere Port noticed his left testicle had "changed shape completely" and felt "very different".

It was like it wasn't part of me. I came out of the toilet and my partner was asking me what was wrong, and I took the pram off her and said 'nothing, nothing'. "We have been together for seven years and she knew it was serious, so I told her 'I have found a lump'.
