Dad left 'shattered' after sons, 6 and 7, mowed down and killed on walk with mum

A grieving dad has been left "shattered" after being told his two young sons were killed by an out-of-control driver. Joseph Shorey's boys Shane, seven, and Sheldon, six, died instantly following the crash at around 4.30pm on Tuesday in Wellington, New South Wales, Australia.

The tragic kids were with their mum, older brother and a friend when they were hit by a car, allegedly travelling at an excessive speed.

Mr Shorey, who lives 1,118 miles away in Queensland, told the Daily Mail: "I only saw them the day before and they gave me big hugs and cuddles and said, ‘Dad, we love you, we’ll see you on the 17th’.
