We've all heard the phrase, "It's OK not to be OK," numerous times and the conversation around mental health is gradually changing, with high-profile figures like Prince Harry, David Beckham and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson openly discussing their own struggles.
However, many men still feel unable to seek help, and the impact of this is impossible to ignore. Every hour, approximately 60 men worldwide take their own lives - that's one every minute.
In the UK, suicide is the leading cause of death among men in their twenties and early thirties, and three out of four deaths by are by males.
Shockingly, in 2023, the rate for males taking their own lives was the highest it's been since 1999. "It's a complicated picture," explains Tom Ellis, Global Director of Young Men's Health Literacy at Movember.
