A cruel dad who forced his partner to endure a horrifying and humiliating campaign of abuse has been jailed. Michael Binns strangled the mother of his children, locked her in a cupboard, forced her to sleep outside naked and make her clean up his faeces and vomit from the living room floor.

The former off-shore oil rig worker, from Hull left his partner living in "misery", a court heard. He humiliated the woman for three and a half years and isolated her from her friends and family, Hull Live reports.
