A father who was hosting his daughter's birthday party at McDonald's was hit with a £100 fine after parking outside the restaurant for 107 minutes.
Nick Forrester and his mum were both charged for exceeding the 90-minute parking restriction while they were inside the fast food branch.Nick had treated daughter Sadie and her friends to the nearby soft play before stopping at McDonald's for a birthday meal, Wales Online reports.
Following the incident, the dad says he will now be boycotting the branch as he expressed his disappointment over the 'disgusting' situation. He contacted McDonald's to speak with the manager but was told to appeal through Parkingeye, the car park operator.
Nick has argued that 90 minutes is not enough time for a relaxed meal in the restaurant but the third party contractor have told him he was correctly fined.
