Cops are appealing for information after a cyclist was stabbed in a brutal gang attack in Renfrewshire last night. The man, 37, was rushed to hospital while another cyclist, 29, was left with serious facial injuries.
A group of up to eight thugs set upon the pair near Nether Johnstone Small Holdings, on Milliken Road, shortly after 10.20pm on Wednesday, May 27.
The men had approached the cyclists as they headed along the path, which resulted in a fight which led to the cyclists being taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.The 37-year-old suffered a number of serious injuries, as well as the stab wounds, and remains in hospital while the other victim has since been released.Detective Inspector Ian Ross of Renfrewshire CID said:
